New Learning Models

The Office of Technology Enhanced Learning coordinates new learning model initiatives across the University.  With a focus on innovative models, increased access, reduced cost, and high quality engaged learning, new learning models occur in the opportunity spaces where teaching and learning are catalyzed by technology.

To succeed, new learning models require an environment where experimentation and innovation are encouraged and supported. The Office of Technology Enhanced Learning provides technical and administrative support to colleges, departments, and programs in the designing, building, and piloting of new learning models and open access resources.

Kennesaw State is the lead institution for the University System of Georgia partnership with Coursera. Additional information on KSU’s MOOC initiative and a list of currently available courses may be found on the MOOCs website. KSU has also launched a digital badge initiative to offer a unique opportunity for individuals and organizations to enhance learning beyond the traditional classroom setting. Programs integrate knowledge with gamified mobile learning in a way that both educates and entertains. The digital badge credential can be used to enhance digital resumes and professional profiles. KSU currently offers digital badges in Higher Education and Executive Education. Please visit the Digital Badges website for more information.
